Whos cats get one? What bits do they have? We are having duck this year which im guessing my two will love, im not really sure about what else from our dinner would be safe for them though so they will probably just get that (is abit of gravy ok? I reckon they'd like that ) Its our first christmas having dinner at home this year so it got me thinking about what to give my two and then wondering what the pf cats will get for christmas dinner
Mine usually get a turkey wing between them. I give them the heart and liver too but not too much at a time or they get upset tummies. I've tried bits of turkey neck but they're not so keen on that. If they're good they get a couple of prawns and some cooked turkey too.
I was thinking of starting this exact thread! Because I have no clue what to give the spotties!
We have stocks of NI Chritmas Feast Turkey flavour in, but that's not special, they already get it and get raw daily. We're not cooking turkey here this year (even if we were only Annelis likes fresh cooked meat). I want to give them something special, but I've no clue what!
My two will get some of the cooked turkey and a *very tiny* amount of the bacon off of the top (I know it's not very good for them but it will be a very tiny bit, and it's Christmas, only one day a year).
I would have thought a teeny wee spot of gravy would be ok as long as the stock isn't too salty and there's no onion in it. Maybe the experts will decry me though

Me either! I have decided i will give them cooked duck to make it more special, as they get raw regularly but hardly ever have cooked meat, but other than that
Titbits of whatever meat I decide on (beef or lamb most likely) They wont get a look in with the pigs in blankets though...my sons will demolish them.
Not looking forward to fighting Tilly off, shes a scrounging piggy at the best of times. Only Jasper will go without...my wannabe vegan kitty. He treats meat like a stray poop!
Liddy will get a few bits of turkey breast (we only buy a crown)with some chicken broth that I have in the freezer so it's not too dry. Apart from that she will get her normal food. She doesn't show any interest in human food.
OH and I are not turkey lovers, so whatever meat we decide to have the boys usually get some of that or prawns.
This year Frank and Seb will have some of what we're having but Roman will have to stick with his kangaroo plus a little bit of rabbit that I'll slowly be introducing.

It's so hard! I think the only meat we'll have is gammon (we're having Christmas dinner at Toby Carvery on Christmas Eve, then having a lighter dinner so we can fit snacks and chocolate in ) not sure they'd want that! I think the answer is going to be giving them different things, I've some venison chunks in the freezer that Annelis would kill for and Orphelia doesn't like, and something line Applaws chicken and cheese is a favourite treat for Moo that Annelis isn't fussed on!
I ll be out on Chistmas itself, but I ll find a raw drumstick of something for Oleg, he shall also get some bits from a couple of neighbourly feasts we re having at home between now and Christmas itself.
Suspense (last minute inspiration) about the menu!
My 3 will be allowed a little of whatever they fancy…but I suspect Miss Gracie will have decided that for herself anyway…she will probably lie across the dining table and help herself (as is normal when we have guests ).
Holly will want some of the turkey and Huck (being a little odd and not really motivated by food) will no doubt decide on a sprout and trump his way all through Christmas!!!!!

My two LOVE gammon! It's not something I cook for myself but my Mum occasionally brings them some scraps from her gammon joint, Bree will literally skip along behind her to get a piece once she smells it!
Again I know not very good for them but they do only get a teeny bit every so often.
I'd try the spotties with a wee bit and see if they like it

Oh really! Excellent, I will definitely let them try a bit in that case!
