Hi, hope you have had a good half term. Has Ziva been spayed yet and if so how is she. Went away to Bewdley a few weekends ago and Shasta was really good and kept everyone on the rally entertained watching him playing with his toys. Tonight we dressed him up in a cape and he carried his trick and treat bag (well most of the time when he wasnt chewing it) round our neighbours. We also went training today which was the first time for about a month but again he was really good and i kept getting it wrong lol.

He has actually been pretty good, he's not chewed it nearly as much as i thought he would. He has caught his leg a few times and had a little cry, i feel so sorry for him.
But i have him at work with me to keep an eye on him.
back to the vets today so we shall see what they are saying. xx

Thanks for your message on the thread about Badger, it does make me feel a lot better. It's such a shame for him and he had been doing so well with big dogs even having a little play with a big rottweiler!
He hasn't seen any dogs since it happened except at the vets but we are taking him up to meet my grans cocker at the weekend who is the most laid back dog i've met, so hopefully things will go good from there.
I think i am going to be so worried about socialising him now :( but i know i need to be strong and keep at it or else things wont get better for him.
Poor wee thing, he looks so sorry for himself with his leg all bandaged up :(

      xx

Hi..... just a little update on Anouk.... my new baby.... She is doing fantastically, considering both Ken and I have been floored for 3 days with the dreaded Norro Virus !!! She sleeps all night, peacefully, thank goodness as I havent had any energy to get up 2 or 3 times through the night !! Collects everything that moves and takes it to her bed which has become a little den for everything.... including my slippers at every opportunity!!.Loves to cuddle in on my Lap or shoulder or chest which I just love.... She is now chasing after Conoch (GSD) everywhere but knows to stand back from Kai (Malamute).... who is just loving evey time he walks by her bed he pinches one of the chews !!! he has managed to digest 2 Nylobones !!!! Hopefully the training will start soon when I get my strength back.... Hows everything with you ?? x

Sounds like Ziva is doing really well, like you say its hard work but it pays off in the end. I would like it if Shasta could stay off the lead more but I know he would just run up to other dogs to play no matter how far away they were, so have to be selective where we can see.

Shasta still looks abit thin without his big coat. He is doing really well at puppy training and they get all the new people to watch him when he does his heel work. He is also great at heel work when in with the other dogs and we do it together but he will not do 1 min sit and stay and 2 min down and stay - he tries to wind up the other dogs by jumping around lol!!!!!!!!!!! We can only let Shasta off the lead when wew can see if any dogs are coming else he is off to play but other than that I can keep him off the lead past people by calling him and making him walk to heel. Hope you all ok and settled back into school routine.

Shasta does look smaller without his coat, cant wait for his winter coat lol!! hows things going. We are slowly getting into a routine but zoe has her leg in plaster so lots of hospital visits (she sprained her knee damaging ligaments both sides of knee and also has fluid on the knee whilst dancing). Shasta enjoys trying to run off with crutches lol. x

Just come back from a lovely weekend in Cheshire. Shasta behaved himself and only played with his toys and not parts of the caravan lol!!!!. He has nearly lost all his coat just a bit on his neck left now. How is Ziva, not looking forward to Zoe going back to school next week and I think Shasta will really miss her.
