just to say that i hope all goes as well as can be expected. we had a double funeral a few years ago, my husband's friend and her mother, although it was very sad the service was beautiful. there was a great mixture of daughters/mothers friends and relatives from all over, they all spoke of the good times and had some wonderful stories. i had never met either but felt as if i knew them well before the day ended. i will always remember that day with fond memories. take care, ttfn

Thankyou. He was 90 and although he had mobility problems his mind was still sharp. He had a fall and hit his head, which caused a bleed on his brain. I really couldn't see him recovering and he died 10 days later. I was with him, along with my mum and nephew, which I think helped.

Sorry for the loss of your nan, try to remember all the good times.

The resort itself was really nice but yeah, there were people on the beach all the time trying to sell you stuff so in the end I never really went on the beach, just the once when I was walking down it whilst having a conversation with one of the sellers. They're nice people but far too persistent with trying to sell you stuff. I suppose it is a poor country though so I can understand it.

Hi, just had to do a quick google search as I couldn't remember where I stayed but found it eventually...it was the Sentido Neptune Village Beach Resort in Mombasa. The highlight of that trip was definitely being mugged by a gang of monkeys lol.

Thanks for asking. I was at Dr's this morning with son, then spent mid morning with elderly confused MIL then back with her again for 2pm Drs apt and literally just got back now.
The Drs apt for son went well. The Dr doesn't think the 2 conditions are related as she says platelet count needs to be at a critical level for headaches, but she has agreed to send him to a specialist. That apt is on 7th June, so I do feel more reassured now.
      Regards,
      Karen
