Just found this bit of advice on the "Dog Listener" website. It may help.

      1. Is Your Dog Regularly Getting the Runs?
Add bio yoghurt to their feed. Quite often this can be a bacterial imbalance. Especially if it is happening on a regular basis. The bio yoghurt is a probiotic and sometimes sorts this type of problem out fairly quickly. However if the situation continues to occur see your Vet.

Thanks for replying. Max's tummy is a lot better on the chicken and rice so going to keep him on that over the weekend then slowly introduce James Wellbeloved, fingers crossed! I will let you know how we get on. Happy walkies.

I feed homecooked food, veg with meat. I don't feed chicken I've found it doesn't agree with Mont, he mainly has white fish or oily fish (sardines in oil).
