Taming a beast - er, well Ozzy is affectionately known as the hooligan, our darling problem child  So can't help there! :D

I've got Oz and four others on raw - they eat circa 6 kg between them a day - we do manage raw when we go away in the caravan, but it does work out very expensive (compared to feeding them at home). I take as much food as I can in a freezer box - usally enough for a day, or a day and a half - and then buy the rest as we can along, either from supermarkets or Prize Choice from Pets At Home, and use tinned fish and veggies to bulk it all out. If we struggle massively, then they just have a few days of commercial food but we normally manage ok.

You're welcome - give me a shout if you need any help.

Hi Sarah - my Newfie eats 2.5kg a day, which is a little over 3% of his bodyweight (80kg) because he is a very active boy.

I live in Sheffield, the breeder I've gone with is ,she's amazing, had a really nice talk with her, could have talked to her for hours lol hope they is more than 3 becouse I can't wait to go and meet all the gang lol. We used to have dogs when I was little, and it's took me years to get hubbie to come around to the idea, glad to hear he's been good dog,I've seen lots of videos on YouTube with Newfies and they do make me laugh,I've bought a few things already, bought a dog crate and a few other bits, will be buying a few more things when the kids are on holiday, then I can be in when things get delivered, get so excited to see the delivery man lol have you got any more pics of Raleigh?

Oh how exciting! I'll cross my fingers for you too :) Where abouts are you based, if you don't mind me asking? Also, which breeder have you gone with? Genuinely just being curious so I hope you don't mind all the questions haha.

Newfies are a wonderful breed, have you owned them before? Raleigh's my first dog, let alone first newf, and though he's had his moments I truly do think he's been one of the easiest puppies :)
