Hello there - enjoying your kittens? Bet you are! cooked chicken is fine, raw chicken is even better. Any reason why you are considering cooking the chicken? But you can certainly start them off by cooking chicken lightly, literally just sear it. If you are worried about bacteria etc, then wash the chicken under running water and use papertowels to dry it before feeding it. Does that help?

Oh and yes you can feed raw chicken - as long as you observe basic hygiene practices (wash your hands, wash their bowls in hot water etc). And believe it or not, you need to feed raw bones if you are feeding bones - either get your cats to chew it, mince it, or use eggshells.

Most people would get commercial cat food - either dry food or wet food - I left you a list of good wet foods on your question post. Hope you will find that one useful.
More and more people are feeding raw. You can get minces from DAF: http://www.daf-petfood.co.uk/wb/; they may have a local distribution point to you. Check with them. I get minces from darlings:Real, Raw, Organic Dog Food Supplier - Home. Their website is still all about dogs but you can email vicky and get minces for cats. You can get a trial pack of 3 kg of different minces for £10 including delivery. The meat is free-range and organic, and hence a bit more pricey.

The cost really depends on where you get your meat from. The easiest way into raw food is if you got prepepared minces that already include the minced bones, offal and muscle meat in the right proportions. It takes a bit of searching for info to get to the stage where you can make your own recipes and know what you are doing.
The one thing you will need if you intend to feed raw is a freezer. Without it, no chance.
