I am a cat lover and have owned cats most of my adult life.

I've never owned more than one at a time and I have always kept each of my cats for their entire lifetime, from kittens, usually over 15 years each.

I love Torties. My last cat was a Tortie, who I had to put down after 16 years and I cried like a baby! Several years later friends decided I needed another cat and gifted me with two baby siblings! Sady one developed serious illness had had to be put down after only a year; more crying!

My best friend later gave me a Tortie from a litter his cat had. She is now 4 and an absolute charmer and a typical Tortie in all respects!

For a while, it was touch and go with the older cat, who was EXTREMELY upset by the new one but over time she accepted the kitten and they get along fine now.

I was born in Vermont, joined the Navy at 17 and served 0 years. I found my calling while working a summer job in a nursing home. When I started college I changed my major to nursing and got my degree in 1972. I retired 10 years ago after enjoying 35+ years in a profession I truly loved!

Photography is my No 1 hobby but I like to play music in the park, cook, create spreadsheets and macros in Excel spreadsheet; I'm studying VBA.
