      had a thought -
would U consider posting that as an update, to encourage all the poor souls whose dogs go AWOL at sight or sound of another dog? it may give them hope, or an alternative to shooting the dog [or themselves, or the spouse who insisted "the dog will be just fine off-leash...]
      thanks, either way - i LOVE happy-endings, ~sniff...~

hurrah for Hubby! :thumbup1: Yay, Basil!  and thank DoG for terrierrrists who love toys + tug + chase

husbands are notoriously harder to train than wives, BTW - please tell him he is an exceptionally intelligent and persistent examplar-par-excellance of the species -
U are very lucky in him, he's a keeper! :)

re the visitors + tethers, i am often tempted to tether untrained children and invasive adults; sadly it seems to be universally unpopular with the kids-parents and the adults themselves...
dogs are SO! Much easier to train ;) have fun, hun - and congrats!

Your pal is definitely right... i may consider chucking out the OH and the boy and running off with Ted! LOL
    6. Amy&Ted
Ted is nearly 18 weeks... he's just been stripped for the first time as he was like a fuzzy wiry bear!!! PMSL!!!
    7. Amy&Ted
He's gorge just like Ted!!! They are the best breed aren't they! Ted is so loving but such a monkey!

      >> no cowering under the chair this time...he apparently wanted to take on and play with every puppy there and they are all bigger than him (typical terrier!). ;) He also showed everyone how good is he at the 'down' and 'sit' command and was chosen to do a heel work demo too! So proud of him! :D <<

and well U *should* be, what a good good boy! and what a lot of improvement, U must be so chuffed.
keep up the good work, mum! > click! <
thanks so much for the smiles, i am thrilled for U - and Basil!

      >>I had missed the bit about carrying him out and letting him walk me home. So this afternoon we did just that and it worked like a dream... :D he was so much more confident walking home and he even let himself stop and sniff a bit as we walked along. <<
Yay! good pup, Basil! Good owner! > click! <

      ha ha! aw

Mika loves tripe too. eats it every day for his dinner :) It does smell a bit doesn't it? But it doesn't bother me so long as he eats something :)

Hi! Yeah I now let him out at 5am & he manages fine till then. My bro told me he'd been letting him out about then on days when I wasn't there so I figured he must be ok till then.

One night I went down at 5 & he was still asleep so I didn't wake him & then he was fine till the morning, but another day the same thing & when I came down at 8 he'd pooed in his cage :-( So now it's back to 5am every day & I'll increase it gradually after about a week I think.
