aaaw how could he say not to be too kind to her? poor little mite. Olly was kept out in a sort of barn with his mother and his one remaining brother, he was stinking when we got him and very nervous but he's as bold and spoiled as anything now! I really couldn't be without him!
Border collies are so clever, you'll have lots of fun training her!

Olly is still quite wary of your hands sometimes and will flinch and pull away for no reason. I think he was just not used to humans at all when he came to us. What kind of dog is Mist?

He got a bit of confidence towards the end of the class! Butter wouldn't melt but he is as bold as anything.
I hope to God I am nearly done with puppy training, but he is still having too many accidents!

Thats ok, I dont mind helping at all :)

If you can I would try and change her food to something more natural such as James Wellbeloved, Burns or something along those lines as Bakers contains alot of additives which can make dogs very hyperactive x

You may find that she will be more toy orientated than food, I have a mixture of the both. Cheese would be fine to give her but I wouldnt give her to much, you could also try training her with hotdog sausages cut into small pieces.

My pups were just like that when toilet training them but just keep doing what you are doing and you will soon notice an improvement. You will also find that when you can start taking her out and about places that will help stimulate her x

Thank you, the people on here are fantastic at answering questions and I will also try and answer questions for you. They can be hard work for some people but if you spend the time exercising your dog mentally and physically then you shouldnt have to many problems.

For the time being I would just stick to the basic training and make sure you are consistent with that and then slowly build it up. What do you currently feed her on? Being a puppy she will probably want to go out roughly every 2 hours but each week as she gets a bit older she should be able to hold herself for a bit longer. x

Awww bless her - poor soul!

How long have you had her? Being patient and loving is the best thing you can do. We had a rescue dog before who jumped when we went near her - now she's anyones friend and she was a year old when we got her. She's at my Mum and Dad's. She loves to try and sit on people's knees - she's a colliexGSD so a bit too big for that! lol! No idea what happened to her before but she's fine now. Mist will be too.

BC's are known to be nervy dogs though so it will just take time. She's still so young.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures!

      Laura :)

Hi Kitt, Your pup is so cute! Do you have any more photos? I have some more of Mac in my albulm on my profile. Mac's 15 weeks now and full of beans! lol! How is Mist settling in? I had a quick scan of your other posts and seen you wrote she was a bit overwhelmed to start - are things better now? Laura :)

I'm a stay at home mum to a toddler full of bounce. We have just bought our beautiful girl Mist who is finding life indoors hard to adjust to and a toddler a shock to the system.

    Dance, Walking and family fun
