Oh I know – he was like a wriggly worm! Good tip about the marking! I thought about a pencil against the doorframe but thought I’d better not! I’ll try the drywipe marker on the fridge.

That’s good. We don’t have a car – don’t need one. Main bus route at the end of the road and a train station 5 minutes walk. The other direction is all fields/parks etc so can go to the town easy enough and loads of space to walk Mac. It does mean though that he won’t be that used to the car. Its only about 15 minutes to my Gran’s with my Mum. Hope to be getting a car next year so I hope he manages ok with it.

What does your hubby do that he’s able to take Maggie with him? If you don’t mind me asking! I’ll understand if you don’t want to say! I can’t imagine Mac going and being well behaved – he’d be wrecking the place and trying to kiss everyone and wriggle up on their knees! Lol!

I might try the ginger biscuit thing. I love them too so that would be a good excuse – hmmm ginger biscuits and a cup of tea ….. hmmmm …. Lol!

      He’s crazy isn’t he?

I just did a quick search on the height of Borders – don’t know why it never occurred to me to look earlier! lol! It says boys 19-22 inches and girls 18-21 inches. I’m thinking now if I have measured him wrong but I did it twice and hubby says that’s definitely what it was. I’ll do it again later when he’s just woken up – he’ll try and eat the measuring tape otherwise! It doesn’t specify if it’s to the top of the head or anything but your measurements are correct for the girls so I’m guessing that it is!

My Mum and Dad’s collie x gsd is a lot bigger so I kind of guessed he’s be about her size but maybe she’s more GSD than I thought. Mac’s Dad was about the size of Jade though so maybe he’ll grow a bit more. No idea! I’m going to be measuring him all the time now! lol!

I wish he had another border to play with too! He only meets that one occasionally that lives around here and she doesn’t let it off lead as her other collie is a bit timid and she doesn’t want Mac and her other one traumatizing him. Yeah you are a little bit TOO far! Even a day trip to meet in the middle would be out of the question as it’s too far! You never know maybe one day you’ll have the need to visit Scotland and we can meet up!

Does Maggie travel well? Mac gets really dribbly (from the mouth thankfully!) and very unsettled. He goes in the car to my Gran’s every Monday so he’s gradually getting a little bit better and more used to it. The day I got him he peed, pood, and puked all over the car on the way home but it was about and hour and a half journey so quite far for a teeny baby that he was. He’s never did the toilet since in the car but he has puked a couple of times again – usually when my gran sneaks him a treat – she knows she’s not supposed to but she says he looks at her with such sad eyes! lol!

lol! I’d be worried if Maggie was humping things! Not as worried as you would be though! lol!

I measured him today – never thought to do it before though so nothing to compare to! Don’t know if you have any of Maggie’s measurements.

      They are:

Height – floor to withers = 23 inches
Length – nose tip to top of tail bone (bum!) = 38 inches
      Collar = 18 inches

He has filled out quite a bit recently. He’s getting a few black spots on his muzzle and legs that are getting darker as he gets older. The other dog round here has the spots too. His blaze is quite faint. Maggie’s is a bit more noticeable. I like the really thick blazes on collies but as soon as I seen him I fell in love! lol! I love Maggie too! lol! I’ll check the breeding and let you know. How much of a coincidence would that be!

aw thanks hun, Libby was just from a farm in shropshire, so not sure of her lines, just know she is WSD, also found that her issues are definately genetic....so still dealing with that, i may have to just take her to the field forever haha, she is happy there.
Hopefully one day everyone will see the real Libby, the one I see indoors and when we play

He’s huge and so heavy now! He’s still a big baby though and loves his cuddles but when he sits on my knee he squishes me! lol!

I missed the pics when you posted them. She’s as beautiful as ever. I love her colour’s and markings. Her eyes are amazing! Your sister’s dog is a good looking dog too. They look good friends? The cat doesn’t look too bothered by them. Cute cat too – is he/she young?

Mac is going to be a big boy. The vet reckons we are looking at the large size of the breed. His weight at 12 weeks was 3.4kg, 16 weeks was 7.6kg and 20 weeks was 10kg. He’s due again for his weight and wormer this week so will see what he weighs this time around! His Dad was big. His Mum was a mid size but the girls are always a little bit smaller anyway.

There’s a dog around here from the same breeder and the woman seen Mac the other day and he’s almost identical in markings to her dog who is about 2 years old. He’s a big boy too. Mac loves him. She was really shocked how much Mac has grown in the few weeks since she last saw him. I feel like his growth has slowed down a bit but he’s filled out into a sturdy boy (still feel ribs but not see them which is as supposed to be) and I know he’s put weight on. I looked at pics of a few weeks ago though and there is a big difference. My Gran sees us every Monday and always comments on the size of him!

He’s doing great but he’s humping everything, gets too excited at visitors and gets cranky when he’s tired and scratches the floor and nips when he’s fighting sleep – like a naughty toddler!

      How’s things going with Maggie?
