Hi, thought I'd reply to you here. I appreciate what you say about the whippet coat, all I was trying to put across was, that Lily's coat looks lovely, very chi like, the preference is for as smooth as a body coat as possible, with the feathering. Obviously there are many variations in a long and smooth coated dog of numerous breeds. Even among whippets, we have friends with whippets and even their coats are all different. To me, Lily's coat looks like a nicely coated long, just not completed her featherings, they can come later along with the ruff around the neck. We have had chi for many years, the coats vary enormously. Lily is a super looking little cross bred.

Hi, I just saw your photo of Lily on the thread where the lady is looking for a dog, I didn't want to hijack the thread but just wanted to say how absolutely beautiful Lily is :) She looks so cheeky and fun loving too :D I hope she is having fun with her new little friend xx

Hi, i'm worried that my 9 month old whippet is underweight, you can see most of his ribs and the knobs on his back. I've tried him on different foods but he just can't seem to put on any weight. A lot of people comment on how skinny he is and I agree but I just don't know what to do. He is fed twice, sometimes three times a day on dry and wet food mixed together. Do you have any advice? I would greatly appreciate it!

Hello there. Thank you so much for messaging me. I'm sorry I've not replied. Been at my mum's with no Internet. I have looked at pictures of that litter on champdogs. They look gorgeous and the mother totally serene. 11 pups how amazing. It says on the website that she only has dogs left. I really do think we would like a bitch. That mum has won me over though. I am so torn re colours. So indecisive, aren't I? The fawn is truly beautiful. I think I need to go to a whippet gathering and take a look at them all together. Norfolk is pretty far for us to go but I would for the right pup. Do you know of any breeders in Kent/ Surrey/ Sussex? I really am grateful for your guidance. Thank you Sarah

As an experienced whippet owner can you offer me any advice on improving my whippet's recall? He is 9 months old and although his recall is excellent at home, in the garden, etc, if we are out walking and he spots another dog he's off like a rocket! We really want to be able to let him free run but his urge to 'play' is so strong that it makes him deaf to everything else. We want to get the balance right ... allowing Jenson some freedom ... but also behaving like 'responsible' dog owners. Your help would be appreciated. Thank you.

OMG! Can't imagine living with 10 whippets ... must be completely mad in your household. We can just about cope with the lunacy of living with one!
Have you any tips on improving recall? We just cannot compete with other dogs and are developing a reputation in our local park as the owners of the wild whippet. Jenson is at his craziest and happiest when he can run around showing off his speed and outsmarting any other dog willing to take on 'the chase'. All advice welcomed. Thank you.

      Hey there,

I just read your post from a few years back about your greyhound who had radial paralysis but regained use of the limb. I rescued a dog a year ago with this condition, but recently discovered that he is able to move the leg (sensation is minimal though). I was wondering if your greyhound was also able to move his paralyzed leg.

      Thanks so much,
