Definitely .... I couldn't believe that it had come to the point that I might lose her but I knew that she couldn't carry on as she had done. For such an active dog she had become so withdrawn so quickly. Am so lucky that she was seen & operated on in the time she was. The specialists really were amazing & it made me realise how much insurance matters, especially after reading about the pup with the broken leg .... total bill so far is nearly £6k & then there will be physio & hydro to add to that ... not cheap!!

Thanks for the rep regarding bonding with a rescue dog. Sort of struck a nerve with me as at the time I was convinced that Roxy was going to be pts so I typed the initial reply whilst crying .... :o

I met a border terrier puppy today, I was humped and nipped by him but yelping worked for him. For the humpng a down worked. Buddy lunged at him at first but once he saw the puppy was ok he calmed down and I let him say hello to the puppy. The puppy was called Woody.

Thanks for the rep. Scary to read some of the hate filled comments on the thread, not surprised it was closed. I should have realised it would immediately go in that direction but I stupidly thought the article could be discussed rather than the boy accused

Buddy's done himself an injury on his nose that he kept scratching so mum told me to put the cone of shame on. He's just had a drink with my help. I lifted the bowl and he drank some water.
