im currently studying animal mangement and would like to know what people think of the fur trade for my project that i have to do about if fur trade is right or not.

So what your opionion on the matter?
Do you like the use of fur in fashion?
Dont like that animal are killed for there fur?

Hi! I can't stand it. Here in Italy, fur is still popular amongst ladies of a certain age, and although younger people pay lip service and say they are against it, in reality real fur is used in acres to adorn the hoods of winter coats. It looks like canine fur of some kind for the most part, although some of it is rabbit. I don't think most people really think about it that much and perhaps don't even realise it's real fur. My sister-in-law was unable to distinguish real fur from fake fur and couldn't understand how I knew the difference.

I think it's a disgusting waste of a life. I'm not anti-leather because the skin is a by-product of an animal that is eaten. To raise an animal purely for its skin is for me morally wrong.

Seeing a human wearing a fur coat is ugly and disgusting

I don't know how anyone who wears fur can live with themselves, tbh.

The fur trade is repugnant, whether it's trapping wild animals that then suffer terrible pain, or one of those disgusting fur farms. All for the sake of some nasty shallow idiot to wear to make themselves feel 'glamorous' when in reality they just look incredibly naff.

There is absolutely no good reason on gods earth why fur needs to be worn
certainly not to appease vain stupid peoples vanity and be an illustration of how much wealth they have got. It should be left where it should be on the animal. Unless of course you are some sort or Native inuit.
Where it was/is used as a sole source of winter clothing and along with it so is every other part of the animal.

No I dont like that the animal is killed for their fur, More to the point the way that the animals are killed for their fur, suffering and inhumane. Anyone can apparently get a trappers licence and say killl Beaver, They are caught in snare like traps and drown to death. In certain countrie foxes and similar are farmed kept in small wire cages all their lifes and in certain countrys are skinned alive screaming.

Anybody sitting on the fence and thinks it might be Ok or nice to own and wear it, should maybe do a bit more research first how its sourced. Then again some cant give a damn and will wear it anyway.

this is an animal forum and i should think everyone on here is against fur and wearing it people make me sick who wear fur skin them alive i say and wear them

It depends who you ask, seeing someone in the UK wear a tiger skin coat, I'd be appalled, yet seeing someone from the northern hemisphere wear fur skin boots, coat etc, from seal, caribou and even polar bear, which they are entitled to hunt, I'd say I couldn't contradict. It's natural hunting and subsistance, ust because the rest of us have b*ggared up the eco system why should others suffer?

I wear leather, and rabbit skin, but am careful about where it's sourced btw, hope that helps with your research.

I'm not against fur if it is a by product e.g rabbit fur from rabbits killed for pest control. I'd rather the whole animal was used if possible. I am very much against animals being farmed just for their fur.
