Erro

Is it true that tortoises shouldnt have much banana?

My Larry is 3 nearly 4 years old and he adores bananas
but i was told not to give them much..i only give his a
teeny peice.

I think fruit should only ever occasionaly be fed, I will check it out for you!

EDIT- I have just had a look on the internet, and it says that fruit such as banana's don't have any nutrional value, and tortoises can become addicted to them, If you want to give your tortoises a treat give them, some cucumber, some flowers (EG- Pansies) And some dandilions, as these are they favourites!

Sammy here in Turkey we have hundreds of wild tortoises - a bit like hedgehogs in Uk They eat bannas and all kinds of fruit in the wild.

Sorry for going off topic slightly but... I go to turkey every year, as we love it there, and that is one of the things I love about it... The wildlife! It's common to see animals such as tortoises just strolling around, where as here in the uk... It is something that does not happen AT ALL!!!
