the first one picture is definately of a little girl , the one in the second pic looks like a boy is the base of his tail much thicker than the end ? as i can`t really see from the photo
as for breeding females aren`t ready till their about 9 years old males i think it`s 3 or 4 years , as for breeding i think with these guys it`s all about dropping / increasing temperatures to stimulate the breeding process. i`ve never kept these myself so hopefully someone more experienced will come along and advise you the best way to go about not allowing them to breed without seperating them nice little turtles![]() |

Both females. They will lay eggs whether they have been with a male or not. Just dispose of them.
You should however, look to providing a nesting area (a box filled with damp sand and moss) out of the water, for them to lay their eggs in, to prevent them becoming egg bound. |
