Re: peeling.

No this is not normal, I would change vets if I was you. Any loosening of the scutes or scales is indicative of disease in tortoises. The most common is shell rot, it can be either dry or wet depending on whether it is bacterial or fungal. It is easily treated without a vets appointment so long as it is not too deep and affecting underlying tissue.

Re: peeling.

When the turtles, they can enjoy the fluids from the skin, which means that as long as they are in water to soak geting water. yo can not see you drink it, but he assured it is. Despite this, the basking temps need to go to the region of cooling needs to go up a bit too much. Loose spinach is a binder, and stops the absorption of calcium. if she is peeing then released when urate needs. they tend to keep them and release when ready.

Re: peeling.

hi, do you mean that his skin is peeling because this is very normal and shouldnt cause you any problems or concerns.i keep hermans tortoises of various ages and sizes.unlike snakes their skin doesnt shed in one large section and in fact peels and breaks off in small flakes as they grow.
