hi i am wondering wether or not to get a turtle

hi i am wondering wether or not to get a turtle i had tortoises before but when i went away i paid someone to look after them and they killed them by leaving them out in the sun without any water i am distraught about my tortoises but i am now wondering wether or not to get some turtles and i definetly wont leave my pets with anyone outside the family again any advice?

well i have had a turtle die on me before and i know how distraught i was... i bought my last turtle from Seltrut Inc. Turtles, Land Turtles, Tortoises and Supplies you should really check them out they are so great and helpful with so many turtles and tortoises to chose from its amazing.

Hi,

I have had several really good turtles over the years and find that they give enormous pleasure as they grow.

When i have to let them move on, its always like losing a part of me.

I had one or two that were sizeable.
When i showed them to my mates it caused quite a stink !

But yes, some people do eat them.
They reckon that the turtles head is the best bit.

You joke about eating turtles, but green turtle soup was a delicacy back in the early years of the last century; my father had a large soup tureen which was specifically for Turtle soup. He sold it along with most of the family silver to pay school fees! Money well spent
