How do I??

I really want another pet!!! Its so annoying that my mum and dad will not let me have one because they think I cant look after it and that my dog will get it!. I am not that stupid I wouldnt let a animal go anywhere near my dog of course! I would have any pet if i could but more of a smaller pet like a hamster and something more exotic pet like a tortoise!

Please Help how do I persuade my parents that i need a pet!
