Does anyone know of some beginners classes in Sussex.

We're from Worthing so the closer the better.
I just thought it could be fun for me and Daisy.

    Hi Becky,

I have only just seen your post and do not know whether you have found anywhere yet.

I live in Worthing and go to a local agility club, which is based at Ferring Country centre. The club name is Highdown Agility and the person who runs it is Lesley Clare telephone number 01903 725510.

    regards

    Ian Hastie

Hey. How are you? There is the one near Rogers Farm, or the one at Ferring Country Centre. I enquired ages ago with Cleo and the only thing they ask is for your dog to be at least 1 year old so there bones have developed properly or something??

All the best, I'm sure Daisy will be great at it!! :) It looks great fun

    xx

    Hiya :)

I was just wondering, I have a Bulldog and I live in Hove, I've been looking for an agility class to take him, hes very agile, but I just alittle worried that it would be frowned apon if I took a bulldog? Do you think they would mind? Its just it would be such a good outlet for him, hes very high energy and learns very quickly :)

Ah Daisy isn't 1 yet...and she's started limping occasionally on her rear right leg :( and then not putting weight on it.... and then when she does collapsing on it.... and then she'll walk fine on it... but she still wants to play. shes not in pain. ive examined both legs myself and done a bit of physio with her and both legs feel the same, both legs feel fine and shes not flinching or in pain at all so i'm a bit confused....

Am going to keep an eye on her for the time being.... I hope she's just faking it!

and i say bring the Bulldog! If it's the sort of place that's going to look down their nose then it's not the sort of place i'd like to go either! :)

I don't know about your bulldog but your best bet is to phone Lesley and ask. We have all sorts of dogs at the club. Admittedly a lot of them are collies but there also boxers, kelpies, weimaraners, afghans, spaniels, westies, poodles, cavaliers etc etc.

The main thing about the dog is that it has to be at least one year old and be socialised enough so that it gets on with the other dogs there.

If you are interested in following this up the club has a Facebook page under Highdown Agility so you can see what we do and some photos of previous club competitions.
