Question Newborn Scorplings

My scorpion recently gave birth to 12 scorplings. It was unexpected. They are all Asian Forest Scorpions. It hasn't passed a week but some of the babies are no longer on their mother's back. They don't have their armor yet and I was told I should separate them from mommy when they start wandering off. Their mother is the first scorpion I've had and I only had her for about two months. I'm rather inexperienced.

Should I wait for them to grow their armor before I separate them?

Re: Newborn Scorplings

they should normally be fine until they all have their first moult, after that you should try to separate them in case they eat each other or their mother mistakenly eats them. good luck!
