I haven't been on here for a couple of weeks but have just seen your question about your smithi. He/she will be fine in there and should chuck the moult out of the hide when its ready to do so.

Spiders can take a couple of hours to moult or longer, my rose hair took 48hrs to moult where my 2cm curly took 2hrs.
When she's done she will get rid of it like rubish like you putting the bins out lol. So she or he will be fine.
