Cool two questions

hi again, i have now finished building my vivarium, god it looks inviting for a lucky little spider! i have ordered a small b.smithi which is about 2cm, what should i start feeding her and how often?
2nd question, should i get her used to being handled while she is young or is this not a good idea? beings as she is going to be my little pal for the next 20 years or so it would be nice to get her out once in a while! cheers, TOM

Re: two questions

They say to not feed a new spider for a week to give it time to settle in. I've got a B.smith but mine is only 1cm if that and I feed it on micro crickets, one on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. At the moment though its not eating. I tried it with a dead cricket as some little ones are scared of live food but it just carried it away from its hide and dumped it. As for handling, I don't handle mine but its down to personal choice really. I'd be scared I'd drop it and it would die. I know that BTS don't agree with handling.
