Hello all,

I have just recently adopted a Hogna carolinensis. She is in a 5gal tank with bark for flooring and a hollow small log and some plastic leaves. She seems to be doing very well. I feed her a mix of crickets and meal worms. Today she started making a egg sack. About an hour into it, she laid the eggs on the silk sack she made. After she wrapped it up, a large blob of yellow caviar looking stuff is still on the leaves. Im wondering if the sack ruptured or she just didnt hit the patch of silk she made for it. I dont know much at all about these spiders, so any help would be appreciated. She is carrying a small egg sack around with her now but it doesnt look any where near as huge as all the pictures ive seen.
