Is this OK for a starter set-up?

And can snakes be delivered?

Thanks for any replies.

Re: Corn Snakes Starter Kit

Probably a bit late, but I'll answer this anyway...

I'm not to keen on the idea of the snake being sold with the vivarium, a highly irresponsible thing to do in my honest opinion. The enclosure needs to be set-up with the correct conditions before the snake is purchased.

The Exo terra heat mat should be slinged, as these things have a track record for poor reliability. Also the enclosure is lacking in two rather essential components, a thermostat and a twin-probe digital thermometer. A pair of feeding tongs will also be needed for feeding.

I'd recommend saving your hard earned cash and shop around for a more complete set-up.

I agree with the above. It also doesn't say anything about a thermostat being included, this is essential as some heat mats can get hot enough to burn your snake.

Best thing to do is get your viv/tank/faun setup and ready for a snake to go into it before you buy the snake.

this is what I would consider the minimum requirement for a Corn Snake.
Vivarium / Faunarium (a cheap alternative is a RUB Really Useful Box)
Heat Mat
Habistat Mat Stat
Two thermometers (or dual thermometer)
Water dish big enough for the snake to lay in (not too deep or it could drown)
2 hides (one for the cold end and one for the warm end)
Some form of substrate (Aspen / Kitchen paper).
