Pet Care Trust is on a distinguished road
Exotic Animals Workshop

Morning all. My name is Rosie and I work for the Pet Care Trust - a pet care education charity. As some of you may know, we run a number of courses and events to help those in the pet sector to develop their skills and provide the best level of care for animals. I hope you don’t mind my posting up details of our forthcoming workshop on exotic animals, which has been created with hobbyists and pet shop staff in mind. We have spaces left, so do call us if you would like to book your place....

I don’t want to look like I’m spamming, but I’ll pop this on a couple of other threads so it’s not just the snake peeps that get to find out about it. Hope this is all ok with your moderators. We’re a charity and run these courses on very tight margins, so really need all the help we can get.

Following the outstanding success of last year's exotic animals workshop, Mark Amey will be leading another six-hour, practical hands-on session on Thursday 4 March, 10am-4pm. Mark, a qualified zoologist, has retailed in exotic animals for over a decade and has made numerous television appearances with his animals - his reptiles have even featured in the Harry Potter films.

The workshop is suitable for anyone working in retail who wishes to extend their knowledge in this specialist area - as well as serious hobbyists. Mark will bring a selection of animals from his Hertfordshire-based business, Ameyzoo, and will demonstrate and discuss safe handling techniques and husbandry.
For those with a level-3 qualification (including the pet store management certificate), continuous professional development points can be gained by attending. All attendees will receive handouts, lunch, refreshments and a certificate of attendance.

Members pay just £45 (non-members pay £65) to attend this workshop. Alternatively, if more than one staff member is attending from the same company, you can benefit from our group booking discount of £40 per person. Your fee includes handouts, certificates, lunch and refreshments.

The workshop will be held at the Pet Care Trust office, Bedford Business Centre, 170 Mile Road, Bedford MK42 9TW. To book your place, call us on 01234 273933.

Many thanks for your time
