Letting it free roam was stupid and dangerous, though i would have said more so for the snake. I mean, its not like it wasn't giving her fair warning and everything, it didn't just suddenly attack her.
The main issue with snakes is they don't adapt mentaly to captivity and are driven mostly by instinct. It would be like you sleeping next to a giant chocolate cake each night, how long would it take you to say "stuff these veggies, im having that cake!"
Also, with that guy taking his to the field, as long as it is eating regularly it shouldn't be a problem to dogs, and again, it would be more dangerous for the snake because it could get attacked. Snakes can get aweful injuries from live prey like mice, so imagin what damage a dog could do!
Anyway, those bites look nasty!
I envy you though, must be amazing to have such beautiful snakes around the house.

its fed very well so ive been told he has had it quite a num of years now and it is chunky...it is a beautifull looking snake i must admit but i think to own a snake that large is mental, rock pythons are meant to grow really badly big aint they?
