omg!!thats probablty illegal,wot if it saw a little dog and got a speed on and ate the poor woofer!!

i said to my daughta he shouldnt really do that coz u never know wat could happen.

Hes done it for quite a num of years now and nothinks gone missing yet

i still think its silly tho.

once they get to a certain size they probably start seeing the owners as foodi had a pet slow worm once,had sid for 4 years,he bit my finger once that was bad enough!

i truly couldnt own anotha big snake again, my boa was strong enuff at 8 foot.

they really do need pro handling thats for sure...the strenth on them things is unveleveable.

wen we used to put our 8 foot boa back in her viv she didnt wanna go back in ( loved coming out she did and sitting up the ladder ) she used to get her head and hold onto the doorframe wile we was trying to get her back in viv, u would think that u could easy life her head of the doorframe...think again...we couldnt wivout a fight...she was strong as a ox.

i dont mind the little ones as pets...upto 6 foot...6 foot over i think are best left alone.

Aww, no.
Large placid snakes like that are lovely, if cared for properly.
Letting it free roam was stupid and dangerous, though i would have said more so for the snake. I mean, its not like it wasn't giving her fair warning and everything, it didn't just suddenly attack her.

The main issue with snakes is they don't adapt mentaly to captivity and are driven mostly by instinct. It would be like you sleeping next to a giant chocolate cake each night, how long would it take you to say "stuff these veggies, im having that cake!"

Also, with that guy taking his to the field, as long as it is eating regularly it shouldn't be a problem to dogs, and again, it would be more dangerous for the snake because it could get attacked. Snakes can get aweful injuries from live prey like mice, so imagin what damage a dog could do!


Anyway, those bites look nasty!
I envy you though, must be amazing to have such beautiful snakes around the house.
