Re: Is my snake pregnant
It is unusual for gravid corns to continue eating up until laying, but not unheard of. Pretty common for them to breed any time of year though, I've got a clutch hatching at the moment, and corns and royals breeding now.
If the 'lumps' you can feel are a bit like a string of pearls, the same size ish and one after the other, then they may well be eggs. They should be easy to count. Her spine will also protrude more, although it might be subtle, but will be more obvious towards her back end. Also, look at her belly scales, are they slightly raised instead of flat and smooth? Are they flatter closer to her head than her vent? Her body shape will also be more triangular than sqaure or round, so if you were to cut her in half (don't! LOL) the cross section would be triangular, and wider at the bottom, and not round or squareish like it would usually be.
Put a lay box in with her just in case, as otherwise she could become egg bound, and it's best to take the male out, as otherwise she is more likely to double clutch, which can have a very negative effect on her health.
Hope this helps, good luck with her.
