i don't know why i am scared of snakes,when i see snake at first sight,i get scared of it,its tongue makes me terrible,i just don't know why,and i often have bad dreams of snakes,the snake runs after me and i keep running all the times,i think it is too dangerous.what's more,one of my neighbors has been bited by snakes....maybe it is because i know little about snakes

Everyone has phobias mines of ornament or doll clowns!

I was frightened if snakes till I agreed my partner could have one, well he went and bought two! After a few months I held one then I started being at ease with them but I was terrified I'd be bitten, one way to get over a phobia is to have the worst thing happen, happen cause it's never as bad as you think, and a snake bit me. I'm now madly in live with them and it's me that's begging to have another one

Clown dolls should be broken up into little pieces and stamped on....all of them...they're scary horrible things....Dentists too..unfortunately it would be classed as murder if we did the same to them...but my phobia is the dentist.
snakes are great...I first held one when I was about 11...I have a photo somewhere of my daughter looking all sweet in her disney princess dress at about 3 or 4 with a snake round her neck it was about 6 ft long and had to be held to stop it weighing her down it was so much bigger than her....but she was loving it....the glee in her face was great

you are brave,but i think i will not brave enough,i am really frightened about its appearance,and i have watched many snake programs to help me get over the phobia,but all didn't work,i usually dreamed about snakes,and cried in dreams.i am now and will forever admire people who gets friends with snakes.

your daughter may be cute and brave.why dentist is your phobia?i have never seen a dentist and in my opinion,they are doctors..

lol I do not know JT...if I did..... I would be as brave as my daughter....My Dad still has to take me to the dentist in the car and sit in the room with me...as I'm sure he will tell you if he sees this post...my dentist knows he will not see me in his surgery without my father....strange human I am but we all have our fears do we not...

i think you`ll find many of your fears are unfounded and the best thing to do is litterally grab the bull by the horns and get some contact with one something quite easy such as a corn snake or something , i`ve been bitten a couple of times by my own , which were my own fault as i forgot to wash my hands after feeding , most snakes if tamed down well have no problem with you and like interacting even ones that aren`t just want to get away and most of the time won`t bite. best time to avoid handling is while they are shedding , or gravid.
other than that i`d say you were pretty safe and unless a snake is poisionous a bite from a non venomous isn`t going to kill you or hurt you too badly!
