Feeding during shed

Before I started keeping snakes I was under the impression that when a snake is in shed he/she will refuse food. However, so far, 3 of my snakes have been eating, even when they're in shed. Thats two of my royals and my albino brooks king snake. My hognose wasn't interested in her food when she was shedding, which obv isnt a worry.

I was just curious to know if its quite common for them to eat during shed?

Interesting. So its quite common then. I guess your just told that so you don't get worried if they decide not to eat.
It didn't surprise me when our first royal ate while shedding cause he just loves food.

Our 4 yr old royal was given to us as a problem feeder. So we just adjusted her housing a bit and she's fed every week. I really thought when I saw her in shed she wouldn't eat, but she proved me wrong
