Re: snake room

How big is the room? How many snakes are in it? Are they just in the room or in vivs? Would love to see a piccy!

Re: snake room

using a heat mat would be the best way to ensure temps are kept up, if you have wooden vivs then 1 in each with their own thermostat and thermometer.

If you are using rubs (Realy Useful Boxes) then you may get away with having 1 heat mat with 2 or 3 rubs resting on it, just ensure there is a thermometer in each one to ensure that temps are kept fairly even in all the rubs.

Re: snake room

Heat rocks are HORRIBLE for your snakes, most reptiles that receive burns or have a death related to equipment for the snake happens with a heat rock. Use a heat lamp and a heat pad. No HEAT ROCKS. If you have a glass tank heat pads work really well in combination with heat lamps. With a Tupperware tank you gotta make due with a heat pad but its really hard to get the adhesive to work.
