respiratory infection or mouth rot?

Hey,
My Corn snake was open mouthed breathing and hissing, after a power cut left a heat matt faulty (i was on holiday at the time and parents didnt realise).

The vets put her on a course of antibiotics for 5 weeks. However, after this course she is still open breathing every now and again.... her jaw is at an angle. However she does not weeze any more and closes her mouth when i get her out..

could she have developed mouth rot from the antibiotics/ handling? There does not appear to be any mucus or irritation....

thanks

Antibiotics aren't going to cause mouth rot. Mouth rot is exactly as it's name sake. The lips and face rot away and teeth fall out with a guey brown discharge from an infection.
