I fed all mine in the shop yesterday and not one failed to eat! I feed the small corns once a week, so you're doing fine. General rule of thumb is that the snake can manage to eat a food item equal to one and half times it's body girth. As for frequency? All species eat frequently i.e. weekly when young and they do seem to like a set pattern - odd though it seems. Don't panic, you may find your animal likes two smaller mice rather than one large mouse, it's just a matter of trial and error. Corns are great feeders so you really can't screw up!
hi repbizizus
i take it you got a rep shop?? where abouts?

Re: calling all snake owners

One appropriately sized food item a week. No thicker than the thickest part of the snakes body .

Re: calling all snake owners

you can feed them up to twice the girth but the recommended size is 1.5 times the thickest part of the body, boids, boas and pythons can go much bigger than that. medium rats should be fine for a 4-6 foot corn, king etc

Sir you don't have a corn snake at 6 feet! You have a Rat snake. but Yes I think 1 mouse per week is good. Every few weeks give him 2 or 3. Mix it up a little. He doesn't stop by mousedonalds once a week in the wild! Sometime he stops 3 times!
