Re: My snakes

Gorgeous pics

Just got my first cornsnake on Friday last week. He's a Carolina corn. I'm amazed at the array of colours you can find in corns. I think they are stunning.
The okeetee female looks beautiful, especially close up like that.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and to pet reptiles...just wanted to say that your Okeetee female corn looks really stunning! I've never seen such a beautiful colour pattern...What size do they make when fully grown? I've got a Brazilian Rainbow Boa...and was thinking about getting a corn snake as I've been told that they are really placid and don't mind been handled...

All the best,

Alex

Re: My snakes

Hi Alex

Corns get to between 4 and 5 feet long as adults - some claim slightly bigger but I have yet to meet one over 5ft. Corns are generally placid, you do get the odd one that hasn't been handled enough, like any species. If you like snakes of around the cornsnake size and placid, I would also recommend looking at African House Snakes - they are amazing, they just wrap around your hand and sit with you, they're great.
