Re: My Exotic Cushion
Thanks for your lovely comments, I've had some rather harsh ones from people who don't know what they're on about.
He is a lovely pet but can be a total pain in the bum too. When he's hungry you know about it and he won't stop pestering until he gets fed. He uses a litter tray but does also poo in random corners if he feels like it, and he's been using a parrot cage as a ladder to climb up onto the windowsill! I got him about this time last year and I can honestly say he's the best pet I've ever had, I don't honestly know how I'll manage without him, but hopefully I won't have to worry about that for a few years yet. Funniest moment with him ever was when I went into a colleague's room to menace a group of kids who were giving her grief, I marched in, glared, and menaced. The kids didn't even look directly at me, they were that scared of me - and I had the skunk under my arm the entire time! It wasn't until the end of my lesson with them the following day that one boy said "Miss, what was that you were carrying yesterday?" (I dont take him to work every day, just happened to have him in then for an animal care BTEC lesson).

Re: My Exotic Cushion
It's like having a combination of a kitten, puppy and human toddler. He's very curious but not in the slightest bit destructive.
They're not easy pets, and you really need to research before getting one, particularly as the law has now changed and new borns can no longer be descented, so you could find yourself in a stinky state. Generally babies can become pretty much bombproof with lots of handling and attention but you still always have that risk of them spraying. I only found out you could keep them as pets just over a year ago when I went to see somebody to buy some rats and she handed a skunk to my son to cuddle, we were immediately determined to get one, and I was lucky enough to find mine in a classified ad a few months later.
