The black and white rabbit, Molly, has sore hocks. She struggled for a year with them, being on painkillers and antibiotics near enough constantly. We even thought about putting her to sleep as she was depressed, her coat lost its shine and condition, she was thin and had lost weight, she was constantly getting abcesses on her hocks and it generally looked hopeless for her.

But we decided to let her try and fight the infection herself and took her off antibiotics and the painkillers. She fought all right, and now nearly 15 months after coming off antibiotics, she's still here and looking as happy, bright and healthy as she should be. She still has bald hocks and they need to be watched regularly to check that there isn't any infection.
