Re: looking for baby ferret
Hey there, I cannot help with you finding a ferret but I do have two boys of my own, I think it is best for you to get a male ferret the reason being that female ferrets can suffer illness whilst being in season, If they are not mated their season can go on and on and they can become anemic and poorly.
I have two boys Squiggle and Bradley. They were both babies when I got them though and Bradley was rescued.
It is true they nip when they are babies but this is only whilst they are playing and seeing how far they can push you, once you have used a few techniques which are simple to do you will teach them this isnt acceptable. Its not hard anyways they are pretty much like puppies when they are young and play biting.
My boys have been a wonderful editions to my family and I am so lucky to have them, yes they are a little demanding at times as they love to come out and exercise but its worth it.
They do smell a bit, musty but since my boys were castrated this has helped a lot and I don't even notice the smell anymore.
Please look into it before taking them on they are a lot of responsibility but if you can put in the time its very rewarding!
Good luck!
