And here is the cage in question;

3 tier ferret cage by Doghealth: Amazon.co.uk: Pet Supplies

It was under the title of a 'rat cage' for £45 , but now has become relabelled as a 'ferret cage' for £69 for some reason......
It isn't suitable IMO anyway, especially without doing some mods first. I've only ever used them as a temp cage and I hated it.
Can I ask what is the other cage? (I'm nosey lol)

Re: Rat cage for sale £40!

Critter cages are awful anyway - I had a triple, didn't last long at all (probably about 6 months overall use if that!) and it rusted to death, stank to high heaven no matter how much I cleaned, and it took my arms off every time I cleaned out.
You can find bigger and better for cheaper tbh.

Yeah, it DID look horrible, it wasn't until I discovered that a few streets down from me was coincidently a prize winning rat breeder! She came over to check over my rats for show, and she saw the cage I pointed out and said DON'T buy it, beause it rats so easily.

Do you mean the cage I will be using now? x) I will be getting on monday... this!

Its nearly as big as me, and I'm five foot seven! x) It has anti rust bars, no mesh so no danger of bumble foot, and its so bloody huge I'm going to have to make a corner for it in my room. xD But I'm so happy, because I'd rather pay £50 more for an impossibly big cage that looks amazing, wont cause infection and is beautifully finished compared to that one on Amazon. ^^

Bloody heavy though, I'm dreading taking that home xP

Re: Rat cage for sale £40!

Just watch the bar spacing as baby rats can squeeze through. But if yours are adults then they'll love it.
