Oh hun what a horrible situation for you
I'm sorry your ratties are ill. Is there any way your vet will do a payment plan, where you pay just a little bit every month til your balance is cleared? Usually if you have low income then vets will do this.

Re: Selling 360 / DS games for rat vet bills?

I'm really sorry about your situation with your ratties With you needing the money urgently for them, it might be better to take anything you can to something like cash convertors or cash generators. If you can take along anything you are able to sell to them they will be able to give you cash right away instead of you having to wait on cheques or use paypal. Hawksport's idea might be worth looking into - it would allow you to put aside the money from a Xmas job for emergencies like this until you get yourself sorted out in a few months time Best of luck getting your ratties better x

Re: Selling 360 / DS games for rat vet bills?

@B3rnie: Because when I had money I went and bought a 15 KG bag of food plus food garnish, that lasts pretty long when you have four not adult rats.

Hawk/Zany: Thank you for replying I applied for five jobs at the beginning of November and didn't get called back for any of them sadly .... >< Its because Ipswich is small and has a lot of students, so there is no shortage of jobs? Anyhow, this cash converters sounds like a good idea... I may pop into there tomorrow (if I can find one and if they accept games! )

You're welcome As far as I know all cash convertors and cash generators accept games - I've bought loads of mine from them They do have websites so have a look on there for where the stores are and to see if they list their buying in criteria I'm not sure how much they offer though, but at least you would get something right away
All Cash Converters Stores

Re: Selling 360 / DS games for rat vet bills?

Sounds like these rats have SDAV virus and if the secondary infection which is respiratory infections then they can go down hill very quickly.
All rats have that mycoplasma in them it lays dormant. Some get it real bad some it doesn't affect. But with pet shop bought rats I'm afraid they often become sick as they aren't bred for health nor temperament.

If u have no income then why on earth did u get these rats????
B3rnie and purple_x like this.
