Re: Mouse Lab Cages

in my opinion these cages are only suitable for taking a mouse to the vets.

As it is in the small pets classified section, then I dont think its the right place to discuss breeding ethics.

Im sure we are all aware of what goes on, especially in regards to breeding mice for food, but i dont want to know about it unless there is something i can do to try and change it.

I appreciate these are lab cages, and again imo there should be no need for these as there should be no testing on animals.

If people are going to breed for whatever reason, the least they can do is try and make the life, however short a happy one. Im surprised that anyone would condone it being the opposite.
noushka05 and Cassia like this.

Re: Mouse Lab Cages

Am sorry if you do not have the room for even DECENT sized cages....do NOT breed...any kind of mouse.

I have seen the set up of an exhibition quality mouse and not a single mouse was kept in one that size....not a SINGLE mouse.

Most people have no idea where their pet shop puppy has come from, I find it hard to believe they would put more thought into their pet shop mouse or a frozen pinky

Maybe it's just me but I think we all know. Maybe years ago we weren't aware but now I don't think you can't.

There's the argument though that always goes around. Do we still purchase? It depends on the individual.

Same could be said about any pet though and animal bred for food.

That's why there should be stricter breeding laws

And that is what needs changing. Personally I don't believe anyone in this day and age doesn't know where pet shop animals come from, it is if they care enough to research properly

Whether it's dogs, cats, rabbits or anything else people don't research properly. I know for a fact there are people on here that have bought puppy farm bred puppies and not realised untill they have joined here
