Second species of giant snail soon....

Ok aswell as the A.Fuliuca I have for sale at £1 each I have some A.Immaculata on the way soon, a beautiful chocolate coloured shell that looks exactly like those Guylian chocolates you can get, dark coloured with a lighter coloured smearing to it. I`ll post a few pictures if anyone is interested. In the mean time the original clutch of A.Fulica giant snail is doing well, they`re about the size of your finger nail now and looking lovely ! theres still a good few of them left should anyone want any, just post here or pm me and I`ll get them to you as soon as payment is recieved......

Re: Second species of giant snail soon....

I keep them as pets mate, for some reason lots of people start talking about eating them or feeding them to other animals as soon as I post a thread. I keep snakes, lots of snakes, if I started talking about buying someones pet rats or rabbits to feed to my snakes it would obvioulsy upset rat and rabbit owners wouldn`t it? so I wouldn`t dream of doing that because I have a heart and don`t want to upset someone for the sake of a bloody stupid remark... I`ll post pictures for those interested in buying giant snails as pets soon.

Re: Second species of giant snail soon....

The ones with chocolate coloured shells sound really interesting I for one would love to see some pictures...giant snails are not something I have come across before I used to have garden snails as pets when I was a kid...they were my racing snails and I loved them loads...what kind of things do a giant snail eat? Also...this might be a really daft question...but how do Giant snails mate? I mean surely their shells would get in the way???? Just a random question that popped into my head

Re: Second species of giant snail soon....

Well snails are hemaphrodites so they `re both sexes at the same time, their sex organs are located in their necks just behind the face lol when they`re mating a big long paper white wormy looking thing comes out of there necks ! lol when I first saw this I thought my snail was ill ! they do a wonderful mating dance when they`re getting jiggy ! its really sweet ! I actually saw the dance from when these latest ones were concieved ! They eat salad like normal snails just avoid chillis and onions. Have you seen my other thread? theres some pictures of some giant snails in that one, I`ll put some more on this thread soon though with some A.Immaculata too. If you used to keep garden snails you`ll love these !! lol they live ten years plus and get absoulutly huge ! My biggest snail is called Splat and hes bigger than a tennis ball ! not even half his eventual size, although the snails I`m selling will get to about eight inches or so in shell length. Hope that helps answer some of your questions ! if you have any more just ask, I`m a wealth of knowledge where snails are concerned ! lol ....._@/"

They`ll be £1.50 each once they`re ready to go, which won`t be for a little while yet, a month or two .
