tinktinktinkerbell is on a distinguished road
why is she doing this

i noticed when i got snowflake out tonight that when shes walking shes keeping her back end close to the ground and when shes standing on all fours she kind of pushes it into the surface, shes also lifting her tail up (not her whole back end just her tail)

she was mated on the 17th so if she was prenant this would be her 8th day

is this a sign of pregnancy? or is it something else

ive checked for signs of wet tail and her back end and her poos look normal

Re: why is she doing this

it sounds like she may be back in season meaning the mating wasnt successful although i would wait the whole 16 days as if she is pregnant and you place her with a male she is very much likely to attack him. hope that helps x

Re: why is she doing this

Could she be in heat? My Roma doesn't do that exactly...but she does go crazy and rubs herself on..well anything. Try the stroking her back...see if she freezes...lifts her tail up and lies flat. They come into heat every 4 days so it does work out.

Apologies if you knew this! Also if i'm not right...but if shes generally healthy sounds possible!!!

xx

i thought the heat thing as she is rubbing herself on a couple of things but then shes showing signs of being pregnant IE weight gain, teats showing, huge nest and when i stroke her back shes not freezing or putting her tail up

i thought it would be easy to breed hammies lol but even when we bred tink, we started on 1st june and she didnt have a litter till 31st august (they are all sadly passed now)
