Sorry for your loss
 I know it is probably too early for you to think of a new little friend for the guinea-pig that you have left, but when the time is right - as long as the new (male) guinea-pig is under 10 weeks they should get along just fine. It is often said that boys fight, if they don't start off together. This has not been my experience. Sending best wishes to you and your family - often the burial cermony helps everyone say goodbye & it can help children understand what has happened.
