Looked like it as biting to me too.

One of my guinea pigs does that - it's quite rare for them to do it but she's done it about 5 times now.

It's a bit dark cos if I had turned the light on she might have stopped. I thought it really was a bird trapped behind the cage the first time it happened.

My guinea pig just 'sang'.

Yes I thought it was annoyed too because when I first got my Russian, Tommy, he used to make a noise like this if you woke him up. The man in the pet shop was a bit scared of him I think because I asked to look at him and he said he was asleep and didn't like being woken up. I don't know how he expected me to see him under all the bedding. He did indeed make a right noise when he woke him up though.

My mice cheep when they are happy - especially Mintola. He sounds like a little motor when he is miffed at being woken up though. I'll try to load the video as I was cleaning the cage and he started doing it. Very funny when animals do that!!!!
