They would be inbred though! Because eventually the sons will turn into dads, and so on! They will make their sisters pregnant! Also if inbred they won't live nearly as long, and could have health problems!

Hamsters are nothing close to these, so please don't say you could handle them, they are very tiny, and need someone who understands their needs, and someone who'd be able to sex them correctly.

Please don't get them! You are nowhere near expiereinced(sp) enough!!

Agreed. You would have to have a LOT of cages and a LOT of experience sexing them and one hell of a record to keep track of who is who and who is whose on/daughter andwho has bred with who.

Peace

I'm not insulting you! I'm telling you the facts about them! Even if you were to get some, there are many of the breeders who don't even know how to sex them properly! If you were to get them, in my opinion it would be a very stupid decision! Try normal mice, they're very cute and loving, and you can actually hold them!

Actually I quite like them alot.

It would be a very stupid decision, as you don't know much about them or their needs!! They are an exotic breed, which it seems very likely that you have no experience with them. So stick to normal rodents like hamsters, mice or rats. If you do the research that is!!

Re: african pygmy mice

you just assumed ive not reasearched?? or not going to research???

thats why you come accross as 1. a child... and 2. rude.

be more diplomatic with your point and you may get a decent reply back... you only get people more wound up when you come out with rude, immature comments like that.

Re: african pygmy mice

I would advise talking to people who own them and if they feel you need more experience then listen to people who do know what they're talking about. Maybe get the breeder to sex them when they're old enough. Do a lot of research before you buy any animal but especially something so tiny.
