Hi Flower the guinea pig finally had her babies today. Another litter of six! I had hoped she would have a smaller litter than her sister but she obviously didn't want to be outdone! That makes 12 babies and the total piggie head count at the minute is 21!
Flower is a black and tan like gipsy and they have the same ginger crested dad, but these babies are all tri coloured and of course very cute.
They seem a bit smaller than the other litter but there doesn't seem to be an obvious runt this time. I am following guinea pig queens advice and giving bread and milk to try and help out, so fingers crossed that they all make it.
The first litter is doing fantastically well, the little black runt has stopped taking the extra food off me and is just as quick as his brothers and sisters now, It is difficult to spot which one he is. They are eating lots of grown up food and growing really fast! Mum looks very well to!!
