You can get little hamster pottys, whether they use them or not is another matter, some do and some don't.

Re: I want some mice or hammys or rats! :(

My rats don't smell at all except cleaning day, Maybe it's best to just wait till your older so you don't have the problem of trying to find a good forever home for your bubs if she decides she doesn't want them.

Re: I want some mice or hammys or rats! :(

Best of luck but be very careful around the cats - Hamsters are real escape artists and not too bright, they make an easy target for a cat....

Re: I want some mice or hammys or rats! :(

I would say that you were old enough for responsibility. I was never allowed them at home, but when I moved out I got my animals.

I think the best way would be to do more stuff round the house, and show her that you have responsibility. She isn't going to want to be whined at because that will probably make her more inclined to say no. Accept that she says no, and don't sulk, and just show that you are responsible. She is probably going on past experience, but now as you have grown up, you are different. If you show that you have grown up, and don't act like a child about it, she may be more inclined to say yes.

Im still working on it anyways. Ive been offered loads of free hamsters, i have saw dust/hay woteva you want to call it and bedding, and toys and a ball already from the hamster i had when i was little. I was also reminded by my brother today theres a cage in the cellar! Not as big as others but ill work on getting a bigger one or maybe get a bin cage and attach it to the one i have now.

I have rats but have had hammies & mice in the past- hamsters don't smell much at all IMO, my boy mice smelled a bit more but the girl mice didn't & rats smell lovely- I often just sit & sniff them
