Your welcome!! I can understand it for some animals - if you think of the impact improted mice and toads have made. Some of them though are just plain silly!! And like you I think i would rather face off a hammie than a boar!!

Apparently (just googled it) it is because hamsters are considered an "Extreme threat" to the environment if they were to escape and start a wild colony. Clearly it was thought out - wild boars are only considered a "serious threat". So if you see a hamster coming towards you run, if you see a boar coming at you take a picture

Yes it does suit her really doesn't it. It was my 8 year old that insisted she was called Honey and as she was one of her birthday presents I couldn't really argue.
