Re: Bin cages?

They are permanent cages and if your able to make one they are very good, you can obviously make them as big as the biggest storage box you can get hold of for a fraction of the price of a cage the same size would cost, Flissy has made a lovely one so she might let you have a picture of hers.

I want piccies of your one!
I have three mice in BIN cages and they love them. Also very easy to clean.

Re the price - if you have the common sense to shop around for the wire if you are making an opening they can be cheap. I didn't......I would have been cheaper buying a hamster heaven!!

Re: Bin cages?

I'm not sure... but I think those are the ones I saw in Wilkinsons and didn't like them because they were shaped on the inside, meaning that they are actually smaller than they look. I preferred the Really Useful Box ones from Staples as they are quite rectangular on the inside and seem roomier

I would say they are suitable for hamsters, you could always make a shelf to make more room if you got one tall enough. I don't know about mice though, because I think they like climbing up the bars and stuff in cages?

mine is 64 litres but u can get bigger ones, i think srhdufe has one thats about 80 or 100 litres

I think the one I have would be big enough for dwarfs but maybe a little too small for a syrian on its own
