My first litter
Hi all, I am fairly new here but thought I would share with you, now I actually have 5 minutes peace
My lovely girl rat had a little of 12 last Saturday morning, so tomorrow they will be a week old Mummy rat (Shelby) has been so good with them, I am amazed for her first litter We have kept rats for nearly 10 years, and after a lot of research, decided to breed So many people who have met my rats have been converted and asked me where they could by rats from, but I have had to take in a couple from people going out and buying rats that bite, over the years. So, after much thought and some orders, I decided to breed My main aim is to make sure the rats I breed are well handled and friendly OK, will post a pic in a bit |

Re: My first litter
I maybe mistaken as this is my first litter, but one definately has larger ears from the other 2 I picked up today
These are all hooded, the mummy is albino and the daddy is hooded, I would eventually like to breed for colour, but I am hoping for these to be well handleable, especially for children My youngest daughter has a muscle wasting illness, caring for animals seemed to be something she really took to and she has her own rat, Minky, he is her best friend, it has really made a difference in her life, and I would love to see it more TBH She has trained him and isn't afraid of being bitten (he has never bitten her thankfully) but through her patience and caring she has trained 2 rats and countless hamsters (for her friends too LOL) |

Rats tend not to bite unless really terrified but as these will be used to small children and adults alike they should be lovely!Peace Akai-Chan |
